Which Cisco Aironet APs can work as Autonomous or Lightweith mode?

Hello guys,

 

Im dont know much about APs and I would like to know if the all APs from Cisco can work as Autonomous? the models:

AIR-CAP3702 ?

AIR-CAP3802 ?

AIR-CAP2602 ?

AIR-CAP2702 ?

etc...

Yes they can. The best way to determine this is look at the software download and check if there is a section for autonomous. You can also look at the wlc matrix which you should keep handy:

You are asking for "Autonomous", but if your intention is to have a solution without a dedicated external controller, then you can also look for APs with "Mobility-Express". There the AP itself is a small controller and can organize a group of APs.

The last family of APs that will support "autonomous" will be the x700.
All future APs, from the x800 to the latest, will support Mobility Express.

Yes they can work in autonomous mode you just have to download the appropriate software for autonomous mode and install on the AP then configure accordingly.
