Open the Vlan 20 interface and make sure you have the DHCP server IP address as the primary DHCP.

U mean put in 10.154.101.104? Correct
02-27-2014 01:05 AM
no the gateway must be in vlan 120.
Just see yout management interface configuration page.
VLAN IDENTIFIER
IP ADDRESS
MASK
GATEWAY: Just enter the IP address (Which you assigned the I for vlan 120 on switch or firewall).

Hi,
Inside MGMT int, the gateway i put in 10.154.101.104 but it said "invalid address information provided". i change the subnet to 255.255.255.0 i can put in 10.154.101.104

I think the gateway must be in vlan 101.

Hi,
Thanks for ur fast respone,
Q: 1,2,4,5 understand
Vlan 120 is actually already exist.
WLC to be configured as 10.154.120.231
By your recomendation, at WLC create VLAN 120 and set IP as 10.154.120.231, is it?
then what should the IP for management interface? any IP?
Thanks

If you're not using 10.154.120.231 with other device. of course you can use it. For me the best way is have the AP's and the WLC on the same vlan, like your picture as well.

The WLC is connected to an access vlan 120, so you just need to make sure vlan 120 is being passed on all switches. The wlc port can be an access port, but if you want to use multiple vlans and put users on a different vlan, then you want to trunk it. Best practice is not to use the native vlan and to actually tag the management. You don't need to have vlan120 interface created, because the management already on that vlan. You create dynamic interfaces if you want to place users on a different vlan than 120.
Thanks,
Scott

If vlan 120 is already exists then just connect WLC to port(trunk- when u need more then 1 vlan to allow) and configure management ip as 10.154.120.231.
What is the ip of vlan 120, it must be diff from wlc management IP.
