wlc 9800-cl external dhcp issue

hi,

i have vWLC (9800-CL) configured. gig-1 is ap manager/management interface and configured as layer 3 interface with IP for wlc management and for AP registration, ip route gateway points to gateway of management subnet (no svi configured). while gig 2 is configured as trunk port. when i am using central dhcp and configured helper address under vlan SVI, my client is not getting IP address. is there specific configuration which needs to be done in order for clients (Policy with Centralized DHCP configured) to get IP address from external dhcp server.

APs are connected in flexconnect mode but one of the SSID is centralized (authentication, switching, dhcp, association) for which clients are not able to get ip.

It is recommended to configure SVI for Wireless Management Interface (WMI). What is the reason for deviating from that configuration in your case?
