We want to join 1800 APs to the 9800 controller.
However, APs repeat connection and disconnection.
I think this is a licensing issue with the 9800.
When I type the show license command, "No licenses in use"
can someone help me??

9800-L-F appliance.
The next day I can see the license in WLC. It took half a day to communicate with the portal.
However, the portal still does not in use the smart license.
APs license in WLC : in use 2
APs license in portal : in use 0
What should I check?

Depending on how your network some time may be delayed in connecting to the smart License server to get License.

Hi @JustTakeTheFirstStep , I recently had a similar issue to you and came across this post.
Out of curiosity, were you using the OOB management interface to directly connect to the CSSM?
I noticed that you were testing connectivity to the CSSM with the telnet smartreceiver.cisco.com 80 and 443 but not defining the vrf, we have found that not defining the vrf that the smart transport uses can cause the licenses not to be used even after successful connectivity between the WLC and CSSM has been confirmed.

Do you have the trusted certificate on the WLC ? "show wireless management trustpoint" ?
