Brand new Wireless controller 9800-L its connected with C9500-48Y4C on port TwentyFiveGigE.
Core switch :
C9500-48Y4C on port TwentyFiveGig -> WLC TwoGigabitEthernet0/0/0
On the wireless controller interface am getting input errors...

NOTE: I am not sure if this option is supported on the 9800.
What is the complete output to the following command:
sh interface TwoGigabitEthernet0/0/0 controll
What firmware is the WLC running on?
Wait ... 9500 is an all-fibre switch. The WLC is connected on an RJ45.
Are you using a GLC-T?

I have seen several GLC-T/GLC-TE bugs on Catalyst 9k.
I think this is one of them.
I think one of the "workarounds" is to disable auto-negotiation.
Use optical SFP.

controller optic cable won't support it, its a copper port.

if the copper, change with a new patch lead and reset the counters and observe. (make sure you use right Cat cable to support speeds)
Cat 9500 side Copper GLC-T 1GB ( i have seen in the past as @Leo Laohoo mentioned some issue with GLC-T - when i was testing)

How about just test the theory?
Try using fibre optic and see if the line errors go away?

Hi ,
We have same issue, we are using WLC 9800 with cisco 3850 and we CRC and Input error on the swicth. so we change the port from 3850 to 2960 but still same as recommended from cisco. every week the reachability of APs get disconnected and all users affected, need expert advice to resolve this. Cisco TAC could not find and fix. WLC side we dont see errors. they connected via UTP cat 6
