Hi All,
need some help/advice .
my client is currently having intermittent connection to their access point. like having 1 RTO for every 20 echo request.
the current setup is all in automatic. and threshold are set to -80.
any advice on how to improve their connection to wireless. having 40 users per AP
with WLC 5500
thanks in advance

Tough to say.... look at the client drivers, make sure your firmware on the controller is not deferred and check for channel utilization. Maybe disable the session timeout on the wlan also for starters. See how that helps.

well during peak hours. not all but almost every client experience RTO.
one RTO is critical for the existing system. very sensitive data
btw thank you all for your response.

Ok, then we need more information. Also, the drivers are most often the reason for problems. But if you have different clients (not all the same type/model) it might also be a controller configuration issue.

You might want to disable several of the low speed Data Rates, they eat up a LOT of airtime.
