Hi fellow experts! As per subject, WLC internal DHCP or External DHCP is better for IP assignment for the clients? In terms of how many AP supported for each method, and the performance (speed).
Thanks!

If the external DHCP is set up in a router, will it better than the WLC internal DHCP?

For <US$100, you can get a cheap-and-nasty Linux-based DHCP server that can do the job.

I agree with Leo. If possible use a true dhcp server. Avoid using the WLC or the router unless you really have to. For very small environments it’s okay but medium to large with multiple subnets you really want a ”DHCP server”.
