WPA3 Supported Access points

Hi Folks,

 

Let me know whether WPA3 will be supported for the below model access points.

 

1)AIR-CAP1702I-S-K9
2)AIR-AP1832I-S-K9
3)AIR-CAP2602I-N-K9

It is not the AP but the firmware. 

If the AP is supported on controllers running 8.10.X.X then WPA3 is supported.

Sorry Leo, but because your post is one of the first search engine results, I have to answer to this old thread...

I am pretty sure that at least Wave-2 (x8xx) APs are required to use WPA-3. I know that because I did some tests in the lab, and the older 2700 APs were not broadcasting WPA3 SSIDs, but the 1852 did.

  • WPA3 is not supported in Cisco Wave 1 (IOS-based) APs.
