This license, A9K-800G-OPT- LIC Advanced Optical license is used if you want to enable G.709 and FEC for the 8-port 100GE line card

So If I connect the ports on the card to another 100GE switch with a small distance(Two racks away) I don't need this license.

Right?

Hi Peyman,

G709 feature is used when you have optical devices in between. if you do not enable this feature you will not need it.
