i don't think i can try anything until i get to maintenance time

Well, you can with  the test command, just to check if you can expect any issues.

Because of the "test" command nothing can happen to your router.

what is the roll back ?

I was told not to do the test

just in case i need do manul

1. The command 'admin install activate disk0:asr9k-px-5.3.3.sp4-1.0.0 test ' will only check configuration compatibility and verify the system for you. No real action is taken. So no need of roll back.

2. To really activate the package, please use 'admin install activate disk0:asr9k-px-5.3.3.sp4-1.0.0', which is without the keyword 'test'.

3. Here is the best write-up and summary of SMU and SP management:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/121401/asr9000xr-concept-smu-and-managing-them

4. The full upgrade and management document:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/asr9000/software/system_management/configuration/guide/ycasr9kinst.html

5. Recommend you to give CSM (Cisco Software Manager) Server a try.
