We are trying to create a solution for CGN using ASR-9001 platform as an alternative to the ASR1002-HX with the FLASR1-CGN-6M. Trying to figure out if the A9K-CGN-LIC-5M is comatible with the ASR-9001.
Also, what is the difference between A9K-CGN-LIC-5M and A9K-XLAT-LIC-5M

Hello,
CGNAT on asr9k requires a dedicated card.
ASR9001 does not support this card. (no slot to insert this LC)
the old card was an ISM, the new card is the VSM
The licenses you provided are for the old and new
A9K-CGN-LIC-5M -- ISM
A9K-XLAT-LIC-5M -- VSM
hope this helps

So if we use the A9K-ISM-100 within the ASR-9006 platform, we can use the A9K-CGN-LIC-5M license.
We will use A9K-MOD80-TR populated with 2 x A9K-MPA-1X40GE, so do we also need the A9K-M80-V6-INLN license?
Is the A9K-RSP440-TR ok for this application?

We are trying to substitute ASR1002-HX with the FLASR1-CGN-6M license (CGN RTU Feature License for up to 6M Sessions on ASR1000) with an equivalent solution using the ASR-9006 unit running RSP440. The main reason for this substitution is because the 40G modules (EPA-1X40GE and EPA-2X40GE) for the ASR1002-HX are on "pre-launch product hold" and can not be ordered. So we want to use the ASR-9006 with RSP440 and MOD80/MOD160 line cards with MPA-1X40GE/MPA-2X40GE modules.
So we are trying to figure out if the FLASR1-CGN-6M license on the ASR1002-HX platform offers the same features as the A9K-ISM-100 module with the A9K-CGN-LIC-5M license on the ASR-9006. Or the A9K-MOD80-TR with A9K-MPA-1X40GE and A9K-M80-V6-INLN license will provide the same features as the FLASR1-CGN-6M license on the ASR1002-HX
Let me know what you think. Thank you!

Hi,
you are talking about NAT44, right? In that case, you can use A9K and ISM-100 for that. You will get the same.
