Hi all
I have a running ASR9K (9006) and another ASR9K (9010) , what am thinking of is to migrate the existing ASR9K 9006 to the ASR9K 9010
They are running RSPs and different LCs , is it possible for me to do it ?

Yes just migrate the RSPs and the LCs, don't need to do anything else, ensure you have enough power.

Thanks Eddie
I have on the 9010 4 power supplies and on the 9006 3 power supplies with the same PID , so am ok to proceed right?

Hi Mohammad,
you can always check that with the Cisco Power Calculator.
Here is the link.

You can also display the actual power usage on the existing asr9006 and 9010 and compare it with the power budget on ASR9010 to see if it fits in.
Both figures (actual power usage) and (power budget) can be found using cmd: show environment power-supply
Just add up the worst case power used on both routers and compare it with the supply failure capacity on asr9k10

Thanks Adam
I have used the power calculator after I replaced the LCs and RSPs between the chassis and the generated reports showed good status , is that enough ?

I’m not sure but I think the power calculator is using max values so if you are good in there then you should be ok in real world.
Might be good to check what values they are using in the calculator though.
