Hello everybody,
I would like to ask a question about BGP Flowspec Server, as introduced in this thread:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/12226726/asr9000xr-understanding-bgp-flowspec-bgp-fs
So the server is the device that does not forward customer traffic, it just has a BGP session to the upstream routers. When needed, it "injects" a BGP NLRI with a specific flow information (IPs and port).
My question: Do non IOS-XE/XR platform support this kind of functionality? Is it possible to implement it on lower end series (1900, 2900, IOS devices), or at least ASR 1000 ? I didnt find any document explicitly specifying it. I know there are other options like ExaBGP, but I would like to try multiple options.
Thank you in advance for your answers.
Robert

Hi Robert,
ASR1000 can be used as both a controller and a client.
Last time I asked, the smaller platforms were not capable of BGP FS.
Cheers,
N.
