Community,
We have an ASR 9910 running 7.9.21 with a A9K-4HG-FLEX-SE card in it. We have tried a few of the different groupings that include 1G ports shown to be available in the "show controllers np valid-port-groups all loca 0/1/CPU0" command. While the router does accept the groupings and does indeed show gigabit interfaces once the groupings are applied, we have yet to get any known working GLC-TE transcievers to work. 10G fiber works fine, but 1G does not work. We tried multiple hosts and even tried a hard RJ45 loop plug to no avail.
We currently have the "10x10GE,10x10GE,5x1GE_5x10GE,5x1GE_5x10GE" configured in slice 0. When running "show interface brief," we see Te0/1/0/0-24, Gi0/1/0/25-29, Te0/1/0/30-34, and Gi0/1/0/35-39 available. We have a fiber loop in Te0/1/0/0 which is working as expected. We also have a hard RJ45 loop in Gi0/1/0/25 and a known working host in Gi0/1/0/26, but neither of those are coming up. Both register the GLC-TEs when running "show controller Gi0/1/0/x" and "show controller optics0/1/0/x".
We also tried the "5x1GE_5x10GE,5x1GE_5x10GE,5x1GE_5x10GE,5x1GE_5x10GE" grouping with the same results.
Here is the output of "show controllers np valid-port-groups all location 0/1/CPU0":

Is there some extra config we're missing to get these 1G transceivers working with this flex card on our 9910?

Hello @7tsommer ,
Hope you are doing well.
Following up on your question, I guess you've configured:
hw-module location 0/1/CPU0 slice 0 config-mode 10x1GE,10x1GE,10x10GE,5x1GE_5x10GE
This configuration guide could help to verify.

As well, which SFP are you using ?
Because the only SFP allowed to be used with the A9K-4HG-FLEX-SE when it is configured for 1G are SFP-1G-LH / SFP-1G-SX.
Could you share the show inventory for GigabitEthernet0/1/0/25.
Hope it helps and looking forward to your feedback.
Have a nice day.
Kind Regards,
Antoine

@anpetit , we are trying to use GLC-TE transceivers in those 1G ports. I see now that they are not listed in the compatibility matrix for the A9K-4HG-FLEX-SE cards.
