Cisco ASR 9006 - Upgrade to 6.2.3 from 5.3.3

Hi,

We have a couple of Cisco ASR 9006's which we are looking at upgrading to 6.2.3, Can we directly upgrade from 5.3.3 (32bit) to 6.2.3 (32bit)?

Looking at the upgrade documentation it suggests their might be a need to install bridge SMUs before upgrading. I see a bridge SMU listed under 6.2.2 but not for 6.2.3, so I'm wondering if 6.2.3 doesn't need one or if I have to go via another version before getting to 6.2.3?

Thanks

David

There doesn't appear to be any bridge SMU needed. You can upgrade directly so long as you aren't using the RSP-4G/8G or any trident based LCs (-E -B -L, -SE and -TR are fine).

Hi Sam,

Thanks for confirming and no trident line cards.
