Failed access to ASR9K

Hi

I am not able to access my ASR 9010  even by telnet or ssh.(actually the authentication seems to be accepted but showing nothing)

even I failed when I tried to access it by console and I got the following logs:

I see a lot of different usernames in the logs.

Please restrict (with acl) ssh and telnet ports on the neighbor(s) device from unknown sources.

ACL isn't enough, MPP is better. The reason to use MPP over an ACL is that MPP won't even open the socket on the 9K (won't take up a VTY line) unless the host / port is specifically allowed.

As for gaining access I am surprised console is not working, a few alternatives exist, on the standby RSP you can try gaining access to the console by typing <esc> + <k> + <s> + <h> + <enter>. You can also try this same step on the aux ports of both RSPs. Once you get to the shell you can type '/pkg/bin/exec -a' to get to the XR CLI.

I hope that Abdurahman has managed to get access to his a9k.

MPP is great, but since access was not possible he needs to block the ssh/telnet requests from the internet on the IGW.

P.s. thanks for the hint how to gain access to standby RSP.

Configure management plane protection to only allow SSH access from your management network (and depending on your topology, only for traffic coming in on the correct interfaces).

For completeness .also configure an ACL on the the vtys:

For the time being now , I am not using Telnet ,Its already denied.

but I allow ssh with no restriction.

the problem is that I am not able to access the router even by console in order to configure the management plane protection.

As I said above ,the authentication seems to be accepted but it stop there and I cant see the running configuration.

Do you have any idea how I could regain the access to the router to make my configuration?
