Failed to install SP9 on ASR9006 : too few space

Hi,

I'm trying to install 5.3.4 SP9 on our CCR9006, but the installation fails because there is not enough space on disk0:

What can i remove from this disk without breaking things ?

If you have RSP4G / RSP8g i do not believe it will fit.

you may need to upgrade the RSP to RSP440/880

A lot of those packages you can probably deactivate and remove (install deactivate, install remove), for example BNG if you don't have IPoE or PPPoE subscribers terminating on the box, the biggest two to help reduce space are the services and services-infra packages, they are only used if you have the ISM-100 or VSM-500 cards. I would recommend reading the release notes to make sure you don't need a particular package and then remove said package to help free up some space.

I removed some packages and got the SP installed. Now when i want to activate,  i get the following :

#Error: The install operation failed due to a system error.
Error:
Error: ERROR: Node responded with an error when completing the check of disk space. (Details: 'Install Helper' detected the 'fatal' condition 'stat() failed': No such file or directory)
Error: AFFECTED NODE(S): 0/RSP0/CPU0 0/RSP1/CPU0

Any clue on what can cause this ?

Could you let us know what type of RSP you are having ?

Is it RSP4G/8G ?

it is RSP-8G

SP9 takes huge space and you are not able to activate due to memory.Please change RSP to RSP440 or RSP880
Hope you tried to remove unwanted pies and other files from the disk and memory as Sam suggested.
