Hello,
I have an NCS540 terminating 10GE to a Metro-E provider. I need to set 2 Gbps CIR shaping and need to have a small 2ms committed burst (Bc) facing that provider. But unlike ASR9K, I can't configure burst when doing shaping on NCS 540 and service provider is complaining about excess drops due to high bursts coming from us.
Question: What is the default Bc/committed burst sent out by NCS when using traffic shaping on output? and is this burst configurable?

Hi James,
NCS540 and bigger NCS5500 systems originally had burst fixed to 32K and non-changeable. You should be able to configure it from 7.2.1 on:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:xrg-301-ncs5508(config-pmap-c)#shape average 10000 bps ?
<1-4294967295> Peak burst size
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:xrg-301-ncs5508-phadke-n(config-pmap-c)#shape aver percent 25 ?
<1-4294967295> Peak burst size
Hope that will help
