NCS 5500 password recovery

Hello,

is there an documented procedure how to recover from the lost password on this platform without loosing the configuration?

There is a disaster recovery procedure available here

but using this procedure the router is completely re-imaged and all existing configurations are deleted.

Unfortunately, the was the password recovery is designed. the procedure will wipe the entire disk

there is no way to preserve the configurations during this process

I was wondering if there something like config-register/NVRAM bypass option in the RP BIOS menu.
Ok, so the password recovery procedure is the same as disaster recovery procedure and it will wipe the entire disk.
Well, this is annoying.
