If you are in the sysadmin prompt or any shell prompt you should be able to enter 'exit' and return to the prior prompt. Are you on console? Its also possible someone entered 'ctrl' + 'o' (as in orange) to change the console between the 3 modes, simply enter that sequence again to switch to a different prompt.

sysadmin-vm:0_RP1# show users
Mon Jun 10 21:12:46.202 UTC+00:00
Session User Context From Proto Date Mode
*1536 smilstea cli 192.0.112.4 ssh 21:12:44 operational
sysadmin-vm:0_RP1#
This is telling me that I came from the XR default SDR VM
Show vm
Location: 0/RP1
Id Status IP Address HB Sent/Recv
-------------------------------------------------------------
sysadmin running 192.0.112.1 NA/NA
default-sdr running 192.0.112.4 525385/525385
When you swap between VMs (XR and sysadmin) you are really doing an SSH.
There are multiple consoles on the box so you could be connected to the wrong one, or the XR default SDR VM could be down so its throwing you to sysadmin.

If you want to connect to available console, press 'Ctrl-o' <'o' as in orange>
after this it does not do anything but takes me back to sysadmin-vm:0_RP0#
Thank you for your help, any advice or suggestion is appreciated.

Vamos hacer la prueba nuevamente.
1. Y despues que entre en este modo lo tienes que hacer cada vez que reinicie el router ? (apagar y prender)
2. Cuanto tiempo te tomo? que version?
Gracias por el feedback.

Hello Tim,
It did NOT work for me, but previous comment says to press ctrl + o multiple times to switch from mode to mode. if you are not able then I would suggest to do a recovery install via USB with recovery image. It could be that the OS files got corrupted.
