This topic is a chance to clarify your questions about Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM) Bulk Administration Tool (BAT) and the best practices to solve its common issues.
This session will help CUCM administrators with using BAT to solve day-to-day administrative tasks. If you've ever thought "I wish I could…” bulk edit the description field for all of your phones; find a way to make the Home Cluster checkbox consistent in multiple clusters; migrate a single phone to a new model; modify the Voice Mail Profile field on lines in bulk; deploy Access Lists for Single Number Reach users in bulk; deploy a set of Abbreviated Dials across multiple phones, or work with CSV and TAR files for editing the database.

Community Live- CUCM Bulk Administration Tool: Practical Things You Can Use Every Day

This event provides a practical overview of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM) Bulk Administration Tool (BAT) and the best practices to solve its common issues. In this session, Cisco Designated VIP Maren share and demonstrate the best practices to solve day-to-day BAT administrative tasks.

In this session, Cisco Designated VIP Maren Mahoney will answer questions about how to examine, locate and extract information from CUCM trace files. While most questions about trace files are about call setup and troubleshooting, questions about other trace files (DirSync, ILS, CTI Manager, etc.) are welcome and encouraged.

In addition, Maren will provide the best tips and tricks to help you understand and fix different issues such as: what trace fill to poll, how to add router/CUBE debugs to a trace file for telephony troubleshooting and how to follow a single call through multiple trace files. As well as the recommended tools for parsing a trace file.

Project SAGE will be a recommendation service that will interject the customer prior to case creation by providing possible solutions to the issue that the customer is facing. This capability is intended to encourage self-troubleshooting by providing machine learning(ML) based “Self Help” for the customers.

The ML based backend engine built to consume massive knowledge base from Cisco like Field Notices, Security Advisories, External Defects & Cisco.com documents. This entire recommendation service will be available to customers via Cisco SCM(support case manager) while they try to open case to Cisco support services.

In this session we will give you a demo of Project SAGE and ask for your feedback in real-time during the session. Come prepared to interact!

This session focuses on self-service features such as status of a case, bug, rma, connect to engineer, raise case severity, escalate a case and re-queue a case.
