API for Starting MeetMe Conference

Is there any plan to expose API to start MeetMe conference from application?

There are enhancements coming in future releases that will allow it (No details yet). In current versions there is no API to start MeetMe conference.

I have done it once using UCCX script taking control on an IP Phone through XML.

Caller dials CTI Rte-Pt

UCCX initiate call transfert to meet-me number (get in dtmf from caller)

If transfert successful (meet-me already opened)

If unsuccessful take control on IP Phone with XML Post, press meetme softkey, dial meetme number

Then transfer caller

Finally press endcall softkey (meetme keeps opened since one caller is connected)

This could be adapted to a web service easily

Unfortunately there is nothing to share

Cisco is not interested to bring the MeetMe feature in Jabber. I had this discussion with one my end user no later than last Monday. I really felt powerless when trying to explain that Cisco has decided to not implement the feature to Jabber and is more willing to use the new feature conferencing functionality described by Mohan but only available in CUCM11.5.

It seems that there are some enhancements planned to Meet me conference which allows user to set the conference by dialing a number. Application should be able to use connect API to do the same. CUCM 11.5 version with the enhancement should be out in June/July.
