Hi all,
I'm reading Jabber 4 Windows documentation, but there's no answer to my doubts.
What are the requirements for sharing my desktop in Jabber?
As far as I understand we need to have following things:
1. BFCP cop fix installed in CUCM
2. Jabber CSF device in CUCM
3. SIP Profile with enabled BFCP applied to CSF device
Is there anything else required to enable desktop sharing?

hello
Desktop sharing is use only between 2 CSF with video enabled and softphone option.
I have a grey button when one of the CSF use PC with "use softphone" and the other PC with "use hardphone" (icon on the bottom right of jabber)
Have you checked ?

Hello,
Thanks Olivier for your suggestion. But that is first thing I had on my mind.
In my case, both devices are Jabber 9.1 in softphone mode, under device configuration in CUCM video are enabled and SIP profile attached to them has BFCP enabled.

ok another think only to be sure
your CUCM version is 8.6.2 and the COP file installed is cmterm-bfcp-e.8-6-2.cop.sgn.
When you said BFCP enable on CUCM, it is enabled on CSF device under Protocol Specific Information>Allow Presentation Sharing using BFCP is checked

Hmm,
There no such thing in my CUCM as Allow Presentation Sharing using BFCP under Device>Phone>"CSF Device">Protocol Specific Information.
I have checked Allow Presentation Sharing using BFCP under Device>Device Setting>"Profile Name">Protocol Specific Information and selected that "Profile Name" in Protocol Specific Information under "CSF Device".
CUCM version:8.6.2.22900-9

strange that we don't have the same thing. however, I read that this function seems to be for third party and not for cisco products so it should work....
We followed the process as Cisco docs and it works without anything else.
did you install the COP file on all servers ? is there a cisco case opened ?

Hi,
In an on-prem deployment desktop sharing only works when user is on a call in softphone mode. Is the icon still greyed out during a call?
Some other considerations for video desktop sharing are given here:
Thanks,
Maqsood

Hi Maqsood,
Two ends of call are in softphone mode and yes the icon is still greyed out during normal call or video call.
