unable to register Cisco Jabber for windows client with CUCM 8.5

Hi,

I am able to get presence status and IM functionality with my Cisco Jabber for Windows client but my client is unable to register with CUCM 8.5.

I have uploaded required cop file on my CUCM.

Is it mandatory to make & upload Jabber group configuration file on TFTP server.

Regards,

Umesh

Mine worked just fine on 8.6 before uploading the file, I uploaded it to configure some specifics on LDAP search base and users.

I recommend you to go back and look at the whole configuration on both CUCM and CUPS, make sure all the associations (user/line/device) are in place and that the CUPS side has the correct profiles the app requires to work (CCMCIP, LDAP, etc)

Hi Umesh,

Accoding to attached logs, authentication with call manager is failing. Make sure that the credentials for phone account in File->Options->Phone Accounts are correct.

Thanks,

Maqsood

Thanks Maqsood & Javalenc.

Now I moved to next step. I don't see any red X (cross) on my Jabber windows client but phone is still not registered. I tried to analyse the log but failed to understand the reason.

What is the use of "Cisco Support Field" in CSF device. I have given value as "configurationfile=jabber-groupa-config.xml".

Here is the current log.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Umesh,

"Cisco Support Field" is used to specify Group Configuration File. Can you now dial a number by entering it in the search field? If not please delete all log files, restart client and attach the log file as before.

Thanks,

Maqsood
