Dear members,
We have a PCCE environment version12.0 where the AWHDS VM is allocated 16 GB RAM.
We need to dedicate some memory for the AWHDS database specifically.
Does this cause any issue? and out of the 16 GB, how much memory we can allocate to the database?
Anyone thought of doing this and can help?
Thanks in advance.

Did Cisco specifically tell you to do this? So you're saying you need to allow RAM specifically to SQL or something?

Hello Bill,
Not Cisco but the customer requested to allocate RAM specifically to the SQL database and couldn't find anything regarding this in the Cisco documentation.

If you're wanting to increase memory on the VM itself, don't do it. The validator is not going to like that and will tell you that there is a unmatched virtual machine. If you're looking to increase memory for SQL Server using your already existing allocated memory of 16GB, then you can do so by going to the properties of the SQL Server, selecting Memory and increasing the minimum server memory value. I think the default is 0 (zero)

Hello Omar Deen,
Yes we need to allocate some RAM specifically to the SQL DB out of the 16 GB that are available to the VM. We will not change the VM RAM.
What do you recommend setting the minimum server memory value if we have 16 GB for the whole VM?
