In an environment with an existing CAD 7.6, 7.5, and 7.2 deployment, CAD 8.0(1a) can be applied as an over-the-top upgrade on both CAD servers and client desktops according to the procedures in the Cisco CAD Installation Guide for CAD 8.0. Hi there, appending below content from CAD Installation Guide
Automatic Update :
If the Automated Updates feature is enabled, the client desktop will update automatically the next time the client application is started. This process uses the client MSI automatically placed on the CAD Base services server when the MR/ES was applied to the servers. This method requires that the user have administrator privileges on the client PC.

Dear Networkers,
Can you please inform us which port will be used when downloading the upgrade of CAD client ?
Since we are in a distant site and we have firewalls, is there specific ports that should be opened ?
Thanks in advance.
best Regards.

Hi,
I think its through the LDAP port.
LDAP service port. There can be multiple LDAP ports.
Default = 38983.
Use the below link for all the ports which are used with CAD for troubleshotting purposes
Hope it helps.
