is it possible to pass the Caller ID to a Custom Variable for reports? I have tried and it does not work for me.

The call custom variable report shows rhe variables for each call, and you can use the editor to place the value on a particular variable.
The interesting question here is why do you need a so common variable placed on a custom call variable?
It will be more ilustrative if you place an image of your script.

The departments would like to tie incomming caller to selected menu and how many time a number calls in to the system.
