Hello,
I'm adding a prompt to my script and trying to force them to listen to a message even if an agent becomes available. I'm running UCCX 8.5. Any help would be greatly appreciate.
Thanks

The Play Prompt step has a radio selection for "Interruptible" on the General tab. The default is "Yes", you would want to set it to "No".
Additionally, you would probably want to turn off Barge. This allows the caller to press any DTMF key and it will stop playing the prompt. You do this on the Prompt tab, and it's the radio selection for "Barge In"
Hope that helps.

I just received helpful votes on this reply from 8 years ago, and I as I read it again, I realize that there is another important aspect to mention. If you set a step to uninterruptible during the queue loop, then the Agent will appear to be "stuck in reserve" until that step finishes executing, and control can resume with the Select Resource step. Just be cautious of which steps can be uninterruptible or not, and try and not keep the Agent in this interim state for too long. It's weird for the Agent, and it also keeps your ports tied up longer.

I got a request from one of my CCX Supervisors for the same task, my use case was to force the caller to hear an informational prompt on entry. The Play Prompt step was set to the default Barge In: No allowing callers to button mash. I was aware of this feature from the Explicit Confirmation and Menu steps, but probably because "Timeout/Unsuccessful" are called out in the object tree. Another helpful from Anthony, you got a couple on my tab at the next fan club meeting! +5
