Where can you get this file. I do not see it on CCO although I do see the file name should be ciscouccx.1061.MixedMode.7.cop.sgn

We have removed mixed mode Cop file from CCO as the fix had now been incorporated in 10.6(1) SU1 natively and in the form of an ES for the customers who do not want to upgrade to 10.6(1) SU1 and will be remaining on 10.6(1).
If you wish to stay on 10.6(1), contact TAC who can help you with providing an ES so that you can get mixed mode functionality while staying on 10.6(1). My personal recommendation would be that you should upgrade to 10.6(1) SU1 to get this functionality along with a fix to several other defects:

I called TAC. Unfortunately the new SU also updates CAD which is what I wanted to avoid but it seems the COP file had issues. So I guess I will have to update CAD again.

I can understand your concern regarding the CAD update which is the biggest fear amongst customers when they have to upgrade. Well not sure if you know this or not, but it is possible to do CAD/CSD upgrade before the actual upgrade of UCCX server (just in case if it helps) which lot of customers do in order to be ready and not keep waiting after the upgrade for the clients to update.
Please refer to "Running the Preconfiguration Tool" section of below document for more information on this.
In case, you do not have the bootable media for UCCX 10.6(1) SU1 to generate the MSI files then you can contact TAC which can help you in either providing the bootable media (this might require approval from your Cisco Accounts Manager) or MSI files for the required CAD version from their lab.
