UCCX LICENSE ISSUE

Hello everyone,

I am going to upgrade the uccx server (HA) from 11.0 to 11.5. can anybody help me understanding if I need to install the new licenses after upgrade?

Your license mac should not change, but you will need to request new licensing for the version change. I had to do the same. You should be able to do so in advance as long as none of the following are changing:

Time zone
NTP Server 1 (or ‘none’)
NIC speed (or ‘auto’)
Hostname
IP Address
IP Mask
Gateway Address
Primary DNS
SMTP Server (or ‘none’)
Certificate Information (Organization, Unit, Location, State, Country)

You would not need a new license when upgrading within the same major version like OP: 11.0 to 11.5

Hello All,

Thank you all for your time and support. I have done the uccx upgrade. I was not required to install new license. As I was upgrading from 11.0 to 11.5

Got a confirmation from Cisco TAC as well that for minor versions (like mine) we do not need to rehost the license. We need it only when we are doing a major upgrade.
