UCCX Licensing

Hello,

I am looking to migrate my UCCX VM to another physical host.  Would someone please tell me how this effects licensing?  The VM itself is not changing however, the host will change.  When looking at the licensing information in UCCX the "Current License MAC of the node" does not match any voice VM's (UCCX, CUCM, PLM) or match any of the current hosts NICS.  Where does it get this MAC from and can I migrate to a new host without issue?

Cisco Unified CCX / System version: 10.6.1.11002-15

Hi,

Below are the license MAC parameters:

  • Time zone
  • NTP Server 1 (or ‘none’)
  • NIC speed (or ‘auto’)
  • Hostname
  • IP Address
  • IP Mask
  • Gateway Address
  • Primary DNS
  • SMTP Server (or ‘none’)
  • Certificate Information (Organization, Unit, Location, State, Country)

if any of these got changed, your license MAC will be changed and your UCCX will be on temp license and you need to rehost license based on new License MAC.

Regards,

Mukesh

Thank you for the information. It looks like migrating from host to host will not invalidate the license as this information will not change.
