N2K-C2232PP not detecting GLC-TE

Hi all,

I have two N5K and 2 no of N2K, FEX and VPC configured.

Whenever i connect GLC-TE or any SFP (MM or SM) its not detecting but if i reload the N2K (like power off and ON back) then its detecting. What is the reason and how to fix it.

Try setting of the speed of the port to speed 1000 before inserting the SFP i.e configure the port first with 'speed 1000' and then insert the SFP

thanks for your reply.

the port is in shutdown state while configuring port speed , port config(access/trunk). Then i insert the GLC-TE and issue no shut command but still N2K not detecting the GLC-TE (including SFP 1 gig, 10gig, mm , sm in any combination) without reloading the N2K

Looks like some order of operations issue.

sounds like some sort of bug, they should be recognized immediately.
