2801 15.1(4)M5 MGCP QSIG configuration

Hi,

I'm trying to configure 2801 with VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 card in slot 2 as a QSIG interface. I only have one PVDM2-8, but just a couple of calls will be enough for this test.

Gateway endpoint is registered in CUCM, but running show ccm-manager config-download I see that CUCM could not configure the gateway, the problem is with the command 'controller E1 0/2/1".

When I try to run it manually, I do not have the option, I mean, there is no controller command. Feature set is IP voice. If I try to configure 'isdn switch-type primary' I can't either, I only get 'isdn switch-type basic-' options.

It must be something pretty obvious, can someone please help?

Hi Victor

Yes, I think you are missing something obvious - you should see when you do a 'show run' that there is a message telling you that you need to enter a 'card type' command.

The T1/E1 cards need to be told if they are E1 or T1, until then the controller does not appear.

For an E1 in slot 2:

card type e1 0 2
