Hi
I have registered a 7936 conference station on my UCM 7.1
The conference station registered but the softkey is not active.

What softkey?
That the 7936 is called a 'conference' station doesn't mean anything other than that the phone was designed for use in conference rooms.
It has lots of softkeys.

True that 7936 is a conference station. It is registered and has an extension assigned to it but the buttons are not active to answer or make calls/conferences.

Nope.
Don't have one lying around.
I was suggesting you post yours so we can verify your config.

Go to Phone Configuration for the device. Look at the "Softkey Template" field. If it is set to
Verify this setting and then get back to us.

Hi Ibrahim,
Just to follow up on the tips from Aaron and Hailey
You mentioned this in your clip;
"It is registered and has an extension assigned to it but the buttons are not active to answer or make calls/conferences."
To start a call or answer a call on a 7936 no Softkey is required, you just press the
button with the Handset icon on the 7936.
For MeetMe;
1. press the pick up handset to get dial tone
2. Press Menu button > Call functions > Meet Me
3. Enter the meet me number.

Hey everybody
Thanks for your advices. Attached are the screen shots of Conference Station device config page on CCM
Currently i can place a call from conference station but cannot make any conference calls. Also I cannot answer any incoming call.
The answer, transfer, conference -- all these keys are greyed on the device display. Handset button is also not working.

What is the normal procedure for registering the conference station

I opened a TAC case and cisco engineer confirmed that there is a hardware issue and they are replacing my conference station @ RMA
