7942G vpn configuration with UC540

I have a 7942G that I want to configure to vpn into a UC540.

The problem I'm having is that when I go to Security Settings, and try to enable the VPN setting, it says that the Enable key is Not Active Here. So, I can't enable the VPN feature of the phone.

What am I missing? Is there some other information that needs to be configured before the VPN feature can be turned on?

Any direction someone can point me in would be appreciated.

It's a lot more complicated that what it seem. Documentation is poor and incomplete.

I could never get it to work myself. I think one alos need to configure at pleast phone authentication, but I got bored and never went the further step.
