HI Guys

I trying to upgrading of the 7961 ip phone from SCCP42.8-3-2S , to SCCP41.8-5-2S , to finally end to SCCP41.9-2-1S.

I´ve performed the procedure: upload the version SCCP41.8-5-2S, reset the TFTP service, check the device default firmware, erase the CTL file from the ip phone, but nothing works.

Please see the picture of the ip phone error.

(CUCM 8.6.2)

Any idea?

TIA
Cristian.

Hi Cristian,

Can u try upgrading phone firmware to SCCP41.8-5-2S first by configuring SCCP41.8-5-2S in  DEvice ---> Phone----> Phone Load name? Save it and reset the phone. If successful, then, try upgrading to SCCP41.9-2-1S

Please find below the procedure to upgrade phone firmware individually.

Hi

I performed the procedure, but in the IP Phone is in :Active Load ID Unknown

Here the load in the IP Phone

Here the firmware in the default device

TIA
Cristian.

Hi Cristian,

Did this IP phone 7961 register with Call Manager ?

ACTIVE LOAD ID UNKOWN appears because some models do not support  necessary version of SCCP but in our case the model is different.

Do you have any other 7961 IP phone working in sasme cluster?

regds,

Dear Aman

There are others 7961 but they keeps the old version SCCP41.8-3-2S

I performed an upgrade of CUCM from 5.1 to CUCM 8.6.
