8945 bricked after firmware upgrade

I have 300 8945 phones and upgraded firmware from 9-4-1-9 to 9-4-2SR3-1. All phones successfully upgraded except one phone. When the phone boots, I get white screen, the top 2 BLF buttons are green, the third button is red, and that's as far as it gets. The screen goes black after about 45 seconds and the button LEDs stay the same. The headset, speakerphone, mic and video mute buttons flash once during initial power, but nothing after that.

I've tried hard reset, and booting with the handset off-hook, but it's the same symptoms.

Any ideas other than tossing the phone? We don't have smart net on these phones.

Thanks!

Rath, I don't think you understood me. The phone doesn't boot. I can't hard reset it and it won't boot to a backup firmware (booting with the handset off-hook).

Hi there

If you have tried a hard reset and the phone is not booting up, could be a flash corruption issue. Can you try moving the phone to a different switch or connect a external power and do the same hard reset procedure again.

Hope this Helps

External power and changing switches make no difference.

I think this phone is truly bricked. It doesn't even display the Cisco logo, just a white screen four about 45 seconds.

Seems to be, since you don't have a valid contact that's a throw piece.
My guess, the phone flash might got corrupted

Hope this Helps
