Add a subscriber to a CUCM

Hi All,

does anyone has a document that shows the steps of adding a subscriber to an existing CUCM, the existing one has already a publisher and a subscriber.

CUCM version is 7.x.

It is a simple process. Go to your publisher, add the subscriber server from the cucm admin page. Then install the subscriber. Ensure you use the correct cluster security password. Once that's completed, check your database replication and ensure its all in a state of 2.

Hi Jarad,

Please follow steps:

a. Make sure u have node licnese in Publisher for Subscriber 2

b. Add new Subscriber 2 IP address in Publisher .

c. while u install Subscriber 2 by connecting in network,u will be asked for First Node.U select Second Node in Subscriber 2.

d. Add OS administration/Application Administration credentials as same . Also, Security password should be same.

e. after the installation is complete, check for DB Replication.

Just a note to good responses here (+5 Aman and Deji), this will work without any issues on CUCM up to version 8.6 and can be safely done in production hours.  As of 8.6 adding CUCM sub will cause all phones to resets, so if you or anyone else is planning on doing that make sure to be aware of it and perhaps schedule it afterhours.
