Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot beep tone on some 7942 Phones?
The problem is intermittent. We have a UCCE Setup and calls are auto answered. For some incoming calls the 7942 produces a beep before the call is answered. Its something like a notification about an incoming call.

I've been having this same problem have a thread on it. It's not the 7942 that produces it. It's from CUCM and it's called a zip tone for auto-answer. I've had the problem for months and yet to find any answers.
Test if you are having the problem phone to phone. If you are it's the zip tone and there are no settings for it in CUCM. Only the amount of time the ring plays before it's answered in the service parameters. But if only agents through the queue are not hearing it. There is a agent desktop setting for it as well. I've had to open a TAC case and let you know what I find.

The issue is with the 10 new Phones which were configured. The older phones dont have an issue and all the Phones are 7942.
The auto answer is on the Agent desk setting.
