CUCM 6.14 with SCCP, NOT SIP.
Can we use IP Phone to buzz the open?? If YES, What else component we need??

You need an FXS port and a "PBX / intercom interface box".
The latter can be bought online or in telecom supplies store.

Hi,
Can you give me a little more in detail??? For example, website I can buy "PBX / intercom interface box"?? Because I found a lot of different one when I serach at google. Dont know which is the most cost effective way or which one is the right one??

Here is one such product made by Viking. I have recommended this to a few
fellow users here who have used it successfully;

This would work well in conjunction with an ATA, FXS or VG202 port setup as a PLAR or Hotline to the desk phones.

Hi,
The product is for intercom, right?? Can I use that to buzz the door open by pushing the button on the phone???
Here is the situation, there is a glass door at our department, so we can see the people stand outside. I just want to something to intergrate with our CUCM 6.12 (Skinny, NOT SIP), so we can push a button at the IP Phone to open the door.

Hi Ken,
Yes, that product is for the Intercom from the front door
This is used in conjunction with the "door strike" controller Viking c-1000b
shown below to control door access from the phone without
having to go to the door itself.

Sorry bother you again, it looks like I have to use Viking W-3000 with Viking C-1000B at the same time. However, we dont need intercom feature... we just want to buzz the door open.
Can I buzz the door open with IP Phone by JUST using Viking C-1000B??

Hi Ken,
No worries my friend
The C-1000b won't work on it's own. Wouldn't you want to be able
to check who is @ the door via the Intercom first before buzzing them in?
If this is a locked door, then it must be for a reason. The whole concept
is based on an active phone call between the door and the respective IP phone
and then using DTMF to activate the door stricker mechanism to unlock
the door. If you don't use an Intercom then there will be no way to intiate a call
to the IP phone to start the process.

The door is a glass door and the visitors already through security checkpoint, so they just dont want to walk to the door and open it.
They just want to open the door without getting up.
Well, if those two products have to work together, then thats fine. I am just wondering if there is door buzz feature without intercom module.

Hello Rob,
I have the exact setup like what you mentioned above. I have a W3000 and C-1000B. I was told by Viking that I cannot set up an ATA with this device because the ATA will not work with W3000. In addition, they told me I need a FXO and not an FXS. I have the FXO. Can you give me some directions on how to configure the ATA to work with the equipment above? Thanks in advance.

I had to use a FXO card to interface with the Viking C-1000B and W3000 Door Buzzer.
On the router with FXO card:

Create a H323 Bind on your router:
interface GigabitEthernet0/0
h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr 10.130.0.254 <== router IP
Create H.323 gateway on call manager and point to the router
Then if you need to transfer it to a DN that is being manned, create a partition, CSS and translation..

Could you help me set up a Call Manager Express
I have
UC540
1 W-1000-EWP (connected to an FXS port)
1 RC-24
I want to do this.
Pressing the button on the intercom (W-1000-EWP) ringing all, would like a ring that someone is at the door IP phones.
Reply from any IP phone by dialing the extension 36 to the intercom
Open the door with the extension 6
For this requirement did the following:
I did a HUNT-GROUP in parallel mode and assign all extensions
a pilot number 601
When I put a FXS port coonnection-plar 601
or
601 pilot number assigned to all extensions as a secondary extension
But I have not been successful because only sounds the phone every time I press the call button of the intercom.
