When I try to configure a FXO i show the follow mesage:

<50-50>  Voice interface slot #

My cme version is:

Likely you do not have PVDM installed, consequently the FXO card is not recognized.

In addition to what Paolo has said, can u share the show diag and exact card model u are inserting in the 1700 series router?
