Hi,
we have been using the below mechanism to forward incoming calls to a CUE script:
ephone-dn 1 dual-line
number 5000
call-forward all 6000
The DN was/is not bound to an ePhone.
In the past this has been working fine; after an update to IOS 15.5 it isn´t working anymore; it´s like if you just called a non-existing number.
Can this behaviour be configured somewhere?
Thanks!

Hi Heinz,
I am unable to find any documentation regarding any such feature deprecation in IOS 15.5 , it could probably be a config related issue that needs to be tracked via a debug for a failed call. Can you capture the "debug ccsip messages" and "debug voice ccapi inout" for a failed call forwarding scenario along with latest running config to see what the debugs show.

Hi Manish,
thanks!
I did a downgrade of the IOS to 154-3.M6a, where it´s working as expected.
It seems to be changed from 15.5 onwards.
I don´t think that´s a config related issue; it´s just a simple CfwdAll to another DN - which in 15.5 and 15.6 gives a fast busy, when the DN you want to CFwdAll from is not registered/bound to an ephone.
Anyone an idea for a workaround? Would like to upgrade to 15.6.
Many thanks!
Heinz

If you add the DN to an ephone does it work? Or does the ephone have to be registered?
Other options would be to use num-exp or a translation rule.
