CDR Records Lost

Ruslan Amrahov

Dears,

I've got CCM 7.1.5. When I'm trying to export CDR to CSV, for March for example, it shows me empty results. I checked Alerting for CDR repo limitation, it was set, but no kind of CDR alert I get. What could be the issue?

Thanks!

You can eidther

1. Increase the Max Age of Call Detail Records in CAR -> SYSTEM -> Database -> "Configure Automatic Purge"

or

2. You can configure "Billing Application Server Parameters" in CDR management page to ftp upload the CDR flat files to an external location, in this case, you can keep the records as long as your storage space allowed.

CDR can be missing for many possible issues.

Starting to check if the CDR flat files are still in the CDR Repository at the following location:

file list activelog cm/cdr_repository/preserve

file list activelog cm/cdr_repository/processed

file list activelog cm/cdr_repository/tmp

Dear Youfang,

Thank you for your answer. Here is the output:

admin:

As I see I lose CDR records starting from June.

From your output, the records for March has been purged/deleted. In CDR Management page of Unified Servicibility page, by default, it will only retain 30 days records, which seems to be the case from your output. If you are using CAR to export CDR, there is also a system database configuration for automatically purge, which is by default for 60 days.

Since the records are deleted from the server and CAR database by the configuration of the maximum retention duration in the CDR management page and CAR database, so there is no alert raised for data deletion.

Thank you for your answer,

Is there any way to keep these records longer?

You can eidther

1. Increase the Max Age of Call Detail Records in CAR -> SYSTEM -> Database -> "Configure Automatic Purge"

or

2. You can configure "Billing Application Server Parameters" in CDR management page to ftp upload the CDR flat files to an external location, in this case, you can keep the records as long as your storage space allowed.

Hi,

or you can collect the CDR record on FTP server. Your CUCM can actively transport CDR via FTP protocol to specied servers (up to three servers at the same time).

Jiri

Thank you, Yufang!
