Hi Voice Team,

I need to change the initial greeting on Cisco Unity Connection 8.5.

for example:

The caller dial a directory number forwading all calls to cisco unity.

The caller hear "Sorry recorded name is not available, please leave a message"...

I need to eliminate "Sorry recorded name is not available" and I want to leave the rest of the phrase: leave a message at the bip. .

Is the possibilities?

thanks

What you are referring to is the "System Greeting".  Each individual user has the option to manually record their own Internal Greeting or use the System Greeting in its place.

When the user calls in to their VM, the option flow should be #4 (options) then #1 (greetings).  From here you can listen to the greeting that is currently setup to play to callers.  You can then listen to the options and choose option #3 to record an alternate greeting, internal greeting, busy greeting, standard greeting and closed greeting.  You then have the option to make that specific greeting your active greeting.

Hi Jean,

In addition to the great tips from Andrew (+5) you can adjust the Standard greeting

page on the user to Callers Hear > Nothing > Play the Record your message etc

Callers Hear

Cheers!

Bottom of page 9 and on gives information about the greetings.
