Hi,
I just need to check if i purchase the Cisco CME for 2900/3900... Do i also need to purchase CME licenses for the phones? i mean this part number
SW-CCM-UL-7942 CUCM 3.x or 4.x RTU lic. for single IP Phone 7942
Leaally i know it should be purchased.....but from the implementation perspective does the CME keeps any check on the router for these license? like the DLUs in CUCM?

As you could have found using the search function:
CME (any version) does not enforce phones licenses in any way.

Salam Nouman,
as per my experience, you dont require any additional IP Phone licenses but You must purchase a base Cisco Unified CME feature license and phone user licenses that entitle you to use Cisco Unified CME.
by the way what is the version of your CME?
