Hi,
I m trying to convert my Cisco ip phone 7945 as emergency phone in case my cisco servers break again. Is it possible to use 7945 phone without CUCM and voice gateway at all and just attach it to seperate pstn network r? probably not?

Your only option would be to install sip firmware on it and register it directly to SIP provider that allows direct phone registration.

You don't need a CM server to use a Cisco phones. Configure the router with CME, that never breaks.

Paolo,
Agreed 100% in fact my home CME on 1760 has been up for 3 years :-)
The question however was to use the phone without Voice GW, thus CME would not be his option.

Well, since OP also stated "in case my cisco server breaks again", I assume he has CM and a PSTN connection.
In that case, CME is ideal.

The thing is that our cucm has broken few times already and we need to use few phones as emergency phones in case it breaks again.

If you want to keep CUCM for any reason, then configure the gatway for SRST and it will take over in case CUCM breaks again.
Otherwise, drop the CUCM and just use CME ad mentioned above.
