Cisco CME 10.5 - Speed Dial - Key is Not Active

Hi All,

I've just completed configuring CME 10.5 (c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M1.bin) on 2901.

All are working except the speed dial.

When I press speed dial button. it Shows - Key Is Not Active on the screen.

But, If I insisting on pressing it, it dials the number.

Any ideas ?

Hi Bernard,

If the speed dial finally works then the configuration should be fine. Is it affecting SIP or SCCP phones or both? Which models are affected and which firmware are they running? Can you check if all phone types are affected.

Hi Manish,

It affecting all 7965 phones and CIPC.

all 7965 are configured on SCCP.

the firmware for 7965 is SCCP45.9-3-1SR1-1S.loads.

any suggestion ?

so far I cannot find any solution why I have to press the speed dial button repeatedly to make it works. It just not right for the client.

Can you share your speed dial related configuration. Also, is this a first time configuration or you did an IOS upgrade on existing config.

No IOS Upgrade was perform.

Fresh new router from Cisco.

Try to reset the phone..

did reset and factory default the phone.

same issue with the speed dial.

Try to apply the softkey template manually on the phone.,

There should not be any issue with SCCP Phones.

If possible share me the configuration will summarize &  update you
