Cisco IP Phone 8945 not present in cucm version: 7.1.5

I am trying to add a Cisco ip phone type 8945 to a CUCM version version: 7.1.5.33900-10

The phone type 8945 does not show up in the drop down window in my Callmanger.

I am trying to find out if i need to add the new firmware for 8945 and the device package ? or only the firmware will do the job ?

Hi Souley,

When you are trying to add a new model/device type you will need

to use the Device Pack

Like the latest for 7.1.5

cmterm-devicepack7.1.5.36121-2.cop.sgn

HI5 for Rob for excellent answer , Just add one more thing, you can refer the IP Phone Feature and CUCM Device Pack Compatibility Matrix.

accordingly you can download the device pack for the respective phones which are supported for CUCM 7.1.5 version
