Cisco Ip phone -->CUCM--(MGCP)--3945 Gateway/ E1 -->Service Provider. When we make an outbound calls from Cisco phones, calls getting connected properly but when the called party disconnects the calls, we see the calls disconnect but Call timer is still active on Cisco phones and hear fast busy tone. We use MGCP. Any suggestions? Debug ISDN q931 shows disconnect received immediately after the called party ends the call.

Please try adding: voice call disc-pi-off
edit: In global config if that wasn't clear

Sorry about that. I read 'mgcp' but thought 'h.323'. It might be timer-related like someone else suggested, but doesn't sound like it to me. Unfortunately, I don't get to work with many E1 configs, but possibly the 'Convert Progress to Disconnect for User Side PRI EURO' call manager service parameter?

can you share debug MGCP packets? we need to see what is happening when you receive ISDN disconnect IE.

Service provider says, this is their standard settings and we need to fix it on gateway side. We receive alerting when we end the calls.

Could you please run "debug isdn q931" and paste logs for 1 call...need to check all the events and may need to check the isdn timer settings.

Basically you have to See the Disconnect Cause code what is received. CUCM will play the re order tone for Cause code like “82 D6”. You may modify the T305 in CUCM if need to adjust the re order tone duration. So it is worth checking the cause code sends by provider and reason for the same if it causes the re order tone.
