Cisco ISR4331 CUE OR Other options

I have an ISR 4331. I am replacing a 2901 with CME. I don't understand enough about what has changed. Do I have all the licenses and hardware necessary to control 10 phones on this router? 3 POTS incoming with 10 out. I had a nice GUI interface with the ISM on the 2901, I don't see where or how to configure that. The commands all seem different too. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I promise I have google'd and researched everything I possibly could before turning here. I'm stuck.

Yes, you have a permanent uck9 license. You can control 10 IP Phones. For the FXO, you only have a 4 port card. You need more of these NIM-4FXO cards to support your number of trunks.
For CME web page, you need to have the GUI files in the flash and reference that in the IOS config. The following would be some of the commands -

ip http server
ip http authentication local
no ip http secure-server
ip http path flash: >> taken the fact that the GUI files are in the flash root directory

telephony-service
web admin system name cisco password cisco >> you can change the credentials per your need

Now, where do you get the files ? Do a "show telephony-service" and see what version of CME you are running. Download the GUI.tar package for that version from CCO.

3 DID's the rest will be Extension only.

I had CME on the old one not on the new one yet.

Can you tell me what package I need in the downloads for this router. Is it Cucm or cme? That is a little of where I am confused.

You don't need to download any packages. CME is just a feature that runs included on the IOS. You need uck9 license and cme-srst RTU license to be able to use CME.

I didn't see the version 12.1 until I went back and looked again. (Apologize for my lack of attention)

I am going to do some more digging and see if this is the answer I am needing. So far Thank you for the help. It has made a world of difference.

The phones work, but is the voicemail separate or does it have a separate configuration?

Yes. It is separate and will need to be done additionally. There is separate licensing as well.

Crap.. What hardware / Licensing am I missing? I only need 10 VM's?

Since you have a ISR-4k, you have a couple of options -
1. NIM-SSD/Service Container
2. UCS-E
3. UCS Server (this would be the most expensive if you don't have one already).

Since it's local and only 10 boxes I take it the NIM would be the easiest and cheapest way to go?

I would encourage you to talk to a UC specialized Cisco Partner. They should be able to give you a quote on this including the licenses.

Thank you sir for your responses. I have learned much!

Hi Experts
Since they touch on the issue of CME licenses, I'm about to offer a solution of 15 7821 phones with CME, I remember that with the 2900 series for the CUE (Unity Express) to work, it required the FL-CUE-PORT-2 license, this it's just basic functions of IVR and Call Input in IVR.

I see that in ISR4321 this has changed, I can not find the corresponding license for IVR functions in the 4000 series, someone knows something about it by licensing or similar to FL-CUE-PORT-2 in the 4000 series.

I am considering a UCS module in ISR 4321 for the CUE,

Any response will be well received,

Greetings.
Carlos P.

I have ISR4451 with CUCM license, FXS ports.

Can we do configuration for hotline? do we need more other parts from Cisco?

Can you help me?

What do you want to offer CME?
or you want to use it as a voice gateway and register it to your CUCM as H323, MGCP or SIP

Regards.

Carlos.
